Changes with dealumination of the state of benzene adsorbed on faujasites

Abstract

The adsorption of benzene on two faujasite-type zeolites with different cation contents on full exchange (Y and dealuminated Y) shows the existence of three possible states of adsorbed benzene: interaction with SII cations, interaction with oxygen atoms, and liquid benzene filling the cavity.
