Solid-state high resolution 29Si n.m.r. spectrum of Ca8[Mg(SiO4)4Cl2]: a new type of magnesium silicate anion. Prediction of chemical shift tensor data

Abstract

Observed (from magic angle spinning and static spectra) and calculated 29Si n.m.r. chemical shift tensor data of polycrystalline 4Ca2SiO4·MgCl2 indicate the presence of a new magnesium-containing silicate anion corresponding to the formula Ca8[Mg(SiO4)4|Cl2].
