Photochemical reactions of [Mo25-C5H5)2(CO)6](Mo–Mo) and dark reactions of [Mo25-C5H5)2(CO)4](Mo[triple bond, length half m-dash]Mo) with NaNO2 and NaNO3: reduction of NO2 and NO3 to co-ordinated NO

Abstract

Photochemical reaction of [Mo25-C5H5)2(CO)6] with NO2(irradiation at 507 or 391 nm) or dark reactions of [Mo25-C5H5)2(CO)4] with NO2 and NO3 give [Mo(η5-C5H5)(CO)2(NO)].
