Termolecular trapping of benzylchlorocarbene by methanol

Abstract

The trapping of benzylchlorocarbene by methanol is termolecular leading to a frequency factor of 2 × 105 l2 mol–2 s–1 and an activation energy of –4.5 kcal mol–1(18.8 kJ mol–1).
