Square bipyramidal [Co4(CO)11(GeMe)2]; X-ray crystal structure. A new structure type for group 4–transition metal clusters

Abstract

GeMeH3 reacts with [{Co2(CO)7}2Ge] to produce [Co4(CO)11(GeMe)2]; X-ray structural analysis shows that this has an irregular square bipyramidal structure containing 5-co-ordinated square pyramidal Ge.
