Catalysts of Cr, Mo, and W carbonyls supported on dehydroxylated alumina which are ultra-active for the hydrogenation of ethylene
Abstract
The use of zero-valent complexes and dehydroxylated alumina allows the synthesis of novel catalysts of supported Cr, Mo, and W which are ca. 1000-fold more active than traditional catalysts of these elements for alkene hydrogenation.
