A novel 18-norspirostanol bisdesmoside from Trillium tschonoskii

Abstract

A novel 18-norspirostanol oligoside has been isolated from the fresh rhizomes of Trillium tschonoskii Max. Liliaceae and characterized as 1-O-{β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1 → 3)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-[β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1 → 3)]-α-L-arabinopyranosyl}epitrillenogenin 24-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside by chemical and spectroscopic means.
