Deuterium isotope effect on 1H chemical shift in pentadeuteriobenzene

Abstract

The 1H n.m.r. speectrum of a mixture of penta-deuteriobenzene and benzene showed that the inter-molecular deuterium isotope effect in benzene produces a downfield shift.
