Ab initio molecular orbital calculations suggest that, whereas CH3F–˙ and CH3CCl–˙ are loose C3v complexes between the methyl radical and a halide ion, SiH3F–˙and SiH3Cl–˙ are T-shaped complexes with one unique hydrogen atom.
