Abstract

The reaction of [H2Os3(CO)10] with CF3C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CCF3 in hexane at room temperature leads to the formation of [HOs3(CO)10(CF3CCHCF3)]; a single crystal X-ray analysis reveals that the organic fragment is bonded to all three Os atoms.
