Stereo- and regio-specific vinyl ether synthesis by the Horner-Wittig reaction

Abstract

α-Methoxyalkyl diphenylphosphine oxides react with aldehydes and ketones to give adducts which decompose with base to give single geometrical isomers of vinyl ethers.
