Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of the novel ferrocenylalane dimer [(η-C5H5)Fe(η-C5H3)Al2Me3Cl]2

Abstract

The crystal structure of the novel ferrocenylalane dimer, [(η-C5H5)Fe(η-C5H3)Al2Me3Cl]2, has revealed the presence of a unique type of bridging cyclopentadienyl group, and established a new type of ferrocenyl rearrangement.
