Formation and crystal structure of an unusual bicyclic phosphazene N4P4(NMe2)5(NHEt)(NEt)

Abstract

The formation, 220 MHz 1H n.m.r. spectrum, and the X-ray crystal structure of the first bicyclic phosphazene are described; the P–N bond lengths are typically those of a phosphazene except at the bridgehead where they are significantly longer.
