The structures in aqueous solution of pentacyanonickelate(II) and pentacyanocobaltate(II) ions

Abstract

The Raman spectra (2000–2200 cm–1) of aqueous solutions of [M(CN)5]3–(M = Ni or Co) together with complementary i.r. data suggest that both anions have a square-based pyramidal arrangement of cyanide ligands.
