Catalytic carbonylation of amines using ruthenium complexes under mild conditions

Abstract

Cyclic secondary amines have been selectively carbonylated to the N-formyl derivatives using ruthenium catalysts under homogeneous conditions and a carbon monoxide pressure of 1 atm.
