Reactions of tricarbonyltetramethylcyclobutadieneiron with fluoro-ketones, -olefins, and -acetylenes

Abstract

Irradiation of [Fe(CO)3π-C4Me4] with hexafluoroacetone gives [[graphic ommitted](CO)2π-C4Me4], whereas, tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropene afford novel π-allylic complexes, in which the fluoro-olefin links the C4 ring to the metal atom.
