Reductive amination of substituted indole-2,3-diones
Abstract
Various 1-substituted 3-dimethylaminoindolin-2-ones (III) have been prepared by the reductive amination of the appropriate indole-2,3-diones (I). Catalytic reduction of the Schiff bases (IV)(3-alkyliminoindolin-2-ones) to give 3-alkylaminoindolin-2-ones (V) is also described.
