Crystal structure of acetylacetonato(π-pentamethylbicyclo[2,2,0] hexa-2,5-dienylmethyl)palladium(II)

Abstract

Crystals of the title compound and of the corresponding platinum compound are isostructural. An X-ray crystal structure analysis of the palladium compound shows it to contain a π-allyl–metal bond. The bidentate acetylacetonate group completes the planar co-ordination around palladium.
