Mixtures of diastereoisomers of trans-cyclononene and trans-cyclodecene derivatives have been detected by n.m.r. spectroscopy: the interconversion of stable diastereoisomers of trans-cyclo-octene and trans,-cis-cyclonona-1,5-diene derivatives has been effected.
