The mass spectra and n.m.r. spectra of 1-, 2-, and 3-pentyl, 1-, 2-, and 3-hexyl, and 1- and 2-heptyl hydroperoxides are recorded, and the mass spectrometric fragmentation processes discussed. The spectra of the hydroperoxides and the related alcohols are compared.
