The reduction of thiazolium salts with sodium borohydride. Part I

The reduction of a group of thiazolium salts with sodium borohydride has been investigated with particular reference to the influence on the course of the reaction of different 2-substituents. The behaviour of the thiazolium salts with aqueous base is also considered.
