The optical rotatory dispersion of tetrahydropyranyl ethers

Abstract

Optical rotatory dispersion curves have been measured for a number of pairs of anomeric tetrahydropyranyl ethers. By comparison with 2-deoxyglycosides of known configuration it is possible to allot absolute configurations to C-2′ of the tetrahydropyranyl ring.
