The effect of halide ions on the Hg ⇌203Hg exchange reaction between air and aqueous solution

Abstract

The rate of exchange between metallic Hg vapour and aqueous 203HgII solutions was determined in a dynamic system. It was found that the rate of exchange depends on the HgII concentration and the type and concentrations of the halides present in the solution.
