Silyl isocyanate and isothiocyanate have been prepared by the reaction between trisilylamine and the pseudo-halogen hydrides; the new compounds silyl formate, silyl acetate, and silyl trifluoroacetate have been obtained from trisilylamine and the appropriate carboxylic acid, and some of their physical properties determined.
