Abstract

Expression of concern for ‘Electrochemical genosensor based on gold nanostars for the detection of Escherichia coli O157:H7 DNA’ by Nasrin Razmi et al., Anal. Methods, 2022, 14, 1562–1570, https://doi.org/10.1039/D2AY00056C.


Analytical Methods is publishing this expression of concern in order to alert readers that concerns have been raised over the integrity of the data in Table 2 and Fig. 4.

The measurements reported in the article, including the limit of detection and linear range, were found to have been calculated without reference samples and may be incorrect.

The data in Fig. 4 was first published, in part, in Fig. S13 of https://doi.org/10.1039/D1RA04764G.

The authors have been contacted but have not yet been able to provide additional data to verify their results. An expression of concern will continue to be associated with the article until a conclusive outcome is reached.
