Abstract

Expression of Concern for ‘Conjugation of substituted naphthalimides to polyamines as cytotoxic agents targeting the Akt/mTOR signal pathway’ by Zhi-Yong Tian et al., Org. Biomol. Chem., 2009, 7, 4651–4660, https://doi.org/10.1039/B912685F.

Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry is publishing this expression of concern in order to alert our readers that we are presently unsure of the reliability of the Western blot data reported in Fig. 5b–d, 6d and 7, and the control FACS data in Fig. 4b.

The control FACS data in Fig. 4b is identical to the control FACS data in Fig. 2a of ref. 1.

The authors have repeated the Western blot experiments and provided new data but the replacement data does not meet experimental data requirements.

An expression of concern will continue to be associated with the article until we receive conclusive evidence regarding the reliability of the results.
