Abstract

Correction for ‘Influence of Y-substitution on phase composition and proton uptake of self-generated Ba(Ce,Fe)O3−δ–Ba(Fe,Ce)O3−δ composites’ by Christian Berger et al., J. Mater. Chem. A, 2022, 10, 2474–2482, https://doi.org/10.1039/D1TA07208K.


The authors regret an error in Fig. 6 of the published article. Specifically, the data point labelled as [Fe]/([Fe] + [Ce] + [Y]) = 0.3 in the original article actually corresponds to the proton concentration at [Fe]/([Fe] + [Ce] + [Y]) = 0.5. The corrected Fig. 6 and its caption are shown below. An additional sample with [Fe]/([Fe] + [Ce] + [Y]) = 0.3 was synthesized and the proton uptake measured; the new data point is included in the corrected Fig. 6. The corrected Fig. 6 also includes minor changes to proton concentration values at [Fe]/([Fe] + [Ce] + [Y]) = 0.2 and 0.6 to ensure full consistency with Fig. 5. The authors confirm that the overall trend of decreasing proton uptake with increasing Fe content is unchanged by this correction and the error does not affect the overall conclusions of the paper.
