Abstract

In eqn (3) and (4), the term ‘LiO2’ should instead have read ‘Li2O’. The correct equations are as shown here:
 
Li2O → 2Li+ + ½O2˙ + e(3)
 
Li2O → 2Li+ + ½O2(g) + 2e(4)
