Correction for ‘K2[B4O5(OH)4]·H2O and K2[B4O5(OH)4]: two new hydrated potassium borates with isolated [B4O5(OH)4]2− units and different structural frameworks’ by Tingting Shi et al., New J. Chem., 2019, 43, 11660–11665, DOI: 10.1039/C9NJ02543J.
The K2[B4O5(OH)4]·H2O compound was reexamined in the New Journal of Chemistry paper under different synthesis and theoretical conditions from ref. 1. However, the two compounds have similar results on structural data, calculated band gap and density of states. The authors apologize for their oversight in not citing their related work.1
The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
