Abstract
Correction for ‘Water-soluble and phosphorus-containing carbon dots with strong green fluorescence for cell labeling' by Wei Wang et al., J. Mater. Chem. B, 2014, 2, 46–48.
The first sentence of the seventh paragraph of the article should read: ‘To the best of our knowledge, fabrication of green fluorescent carbon dots by microwave pyrolysis of a natural phosphorus-rich carbon source has never been reported before.’
