Correction: Combined photothermal and photodynamic therapy delivered by PEGylated MoS₂ nanosheets

Abstract

Correction for ‘Combined photothermal and photodynamic therapy delivered by PEGylated MoS₂ nanosheets’ by Teng Liu et al., Nanoscale, 2014, 6, 11219–11225.

We, the named authors, wish to make the following correction to the above manuscript. Fig. 5(a) should be replaced with a corrected version, as shown in the revised Fig. 5 below. The images in the original version of Fig. 5(a) were inserted in error and depict PAT images of tumours in mice before and after i.t. or i.v. injection with WS₂-PEG. These images are duplicates of the images presented in Fig. 3(e) in Adv. Mater., 2014, 26, 1886–1893 by Liang Cheng, Jingjing Liu, Xing Gu, Hua Gong, Xiaoze Shi, Teng Liu, Chao Wang, Xiaoyong Wang, Gang Liu, Huaiyong Xing, Wenbo Bu, Baoquan Sun and Zhuang Liu, some of whom are co-authors of the current paper. The corrected version of Fig. 5(a) shows photoacoustic images of tumors in mice before and 24 h after i.v. injection of MoS₂-PEG/Ce6 ([Ce6] = 2.0 mg kg⁻¹, [MoS₂-PEG] = 6.85 mg kg⁻¹).
