In flagrante metallo-cyclophane self-assembly?

Abstract

The dimeric self-assembly of an alkyl-substituted pyrazinepyridine hybrid ligand with copper(I) initially affords its sterically congested, C2-symmetric stereoisomer, which then undergoes partial isomerisation to a dynamic mixture containing the less crowded meso-configured diastereomer.
