Synthesis and structure of platinum(II) complexes with mixed Ph2PNHP(O)Ph2/[Ph2PNP(O)Ph2] or Ph2PC6H4NH2/[Ph2PC6H4NH] hybrid ligands: new M–P–N–H···N–P metallacycles

Abstract

Transmetallation of K[Ph2P(E)NP(E)Ph2] (E=S or Se) with cis-[PtCl2(HL)2] [HL=Ph2PNHP(O)Ph2-P] gave the mixed platinum(II) compounds [Pt{Ph2P(E)NP(E)Ph2-E,E′}L(HL)] containing one deprotonated [Ph2PNP(O)Ph2] ligand; X-ray crystallography reveals an unusual pseudo six-membered Pt–P–N–H···N–P metalloring structure.
