Polarized absorption spectra of aromatic radicals in stretched polymer film. Part 7.—Resolved spectra of radical anions of acridine and phenazine

Abstract

Resolved spectra of acridine and phenazine radical anions have been determined in polyethylene films. Vibrational structures have been observed for the second (long-axis polarized) and the third (short-axis polarized) electronic bands. Observed vibrational frequencies of the third electronic band are similar to those of anthracene radical anions.
