A comparison of the ligand behaviour of Ph2AsCH2AsPh2(dpam) with that of Ph2PCH2PPh2(dppm) in mono- and bi-metallic platinum complexes

Abstract

cis,cis-[Me2Pt(µ-dpam)2PtMe2] is more stable than [Me2Pt(dpam-AsAs′)], the reverse is the case for dppm, and trans-[PtCl2(dpam-As)2] is formed from [PtCl2(dpam-AsAs′)]+ dpam whereas [PtCl2(dppm-PP′)] gives [Pt(dppm-PP′)2]2+.
