Determination of dibutyl and monobutyl phosphates in mixtures of kerosene and tributyl phosphate

Abstract

Dibutyl and monobutyl phosphates were determined by gas chromatography. A procedure involving separation, extraction and methylation was developed and it was found that the use of a flame-photometric detector gave better results. The detection limits of 5 × 10–8 g were found for both dibutyl and monobutyl phosphates.
