Enol acetates from oxo-nucleosides: a new, mild, regioselective method

Abstract

The reaction of some oxo-nucleosides of uracil with dimethylformamide acetals leads, after addition of acetic anhydride, to the corresponding enol acetatenucleosides; this is the first synthesis of enol acetatenucleosides by direct enolisation of an oxo-nucleoside.
