Conductance of some cobalt(III) complexes in water at 25°C. Part 2.—Conductance of salts of ethylenediaminetetra-acetatocobaltate(III)

Abstract

Results are reported for the molar conductivities at 25°C of aqueous solutions of lithium, sodium, potassium and tetraethylammonium ethylenediaminetetra-acetatocobaltate(III). They are analysed in terms of the Pitts conductivity equation and are best considered as slightly associated with association constants in the order Li < Na < K > Et4N. A value of 26.17 ± 0.10 S cm2 mol–1 is reported for λ([Co (edta)]).
