Chemical composition of Alleppy cardamom oil by gas chromatography

Abstract

An isothermal gas-chromatographic technique used to investigate the chemical composition of cardamom oil is described. A total of twenty-one components were detected by our method. Most of the peaks, representing 98·1 per cent. of the oil, have been identified.
