Mössbauer and infrared spectra of organotin oxinates

Abstract

Mössbauer parameters are presented for a range of organotin oxinates of the types R2Sn oxin2, R2SnX oxin, RSnX oxin2, RSn oxin3, and R3Sn oxin (R = alkyl or aryl, oxin = oxinate, X = halogen or isothiocyanates). These results are discussed in terms of the various structural possibilities for the oxinates. The i.r. spectra of the compounds in the region 690–300 cm.–1 are reported and some tentative assignments made.
