Infrared and Raman spectra and structures of sodium nitromethane and sodium trideuterionitromethane
Abstract
Infrared and Raman spectra have been obtained for the sodium salts of nitromethane and trideuterionitromethane. The data are interpreted in terms of a C2v structure for the anion. Eleven of the twelve fundamental modes of vibration are assigned, and a Teller–Redlich Rule treatment is made.
