Effect of fluorine substitution on the molecular core binding energies of some binuclear aromatic hydrocarbons

Abstract

The molecular core binding energies of some binuclear aromatic hydrocarbons and their perfluoro-substituted analogues have been measured by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results are discussed in terms of all valence electron CNDO/2 SCF MO calculations.
