Bisphosphonate

Abstract

Cl2C[P(O)(OMe)2P(O)(OMe)(OZ+)] selectively reacts with acetyl chloride to provide a new enzymatically stable heterocyclic bis(bisphosphonate); the structure is confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
