Morphology-induced surface growth of random nano-ruthenium promotes the hydrogen evolution reaction
Abstract
Using low-cost carbon felt as a substrate and introducing CTAB as the optimal morphology-inducing agent, randomly structured nano-Ru was rapidly constructed via one-step electrodeposition, achieving highly efficient hydrogen evolution reaction across all pH conditions, with exceptional performance in seawater electrolysis for hydrogen production and ampere-level scaling demonstrations, along with demonstrated long-term stability.
