A different wettable Janus material with universal floatability for anti-turnover and lossless transportation of crude oil†
Abstract
Superamphiphobic materials have been extensively explored for various applications owing to their outstanding performance. However, few studies on the construction of superamphiphobic/amphiphilic Janus materials and their application in the fields of materials with floating and anti-turnover abilities have been reported. The superamphiphobic flower-like TiO2 coating was prepared to endow diverse materials with steady floatability in various liquids. Meanwhile, the load-capability and anti-turnover ability of superamphiphobic/amphiphilic Janus materials floating in the liquids were quantitatively analyzed. The experimental results were provided for new approaches to realize the lossless transportation of crude oil via sea.
