Defective glycerolatocobalt(ii) for enhancing the oxygen evolution reaction

Abstract

Glycerolatocobalt(II) (CoGly) was reported as an electrocatalyst for the first time. Ar plasma was adopted to create a defective CoGly with rich coordinatively unsaturated metal sites (CUMs) as an effective OER catalyst. This study expanded the family of metal–organic complexes for electrocatalysis and proved the critical role of CUMs in the OER directly.
