Intramolecular base-accelerated radical-scavenging reaction of a planar catechin derivative bearing a lysine moiety

Abstract

A planar catechin derivative incorporating a lysine moiety was synthesized and showed ∼400-fold increased radical-scavenging activity relative to naturally-occurring (+)-catechin.
