Metal-directed assembly of cyclometallopeptides

Abstract

An undecapeptide predisposed to cyclisation as a result of the inclusion of a proline residue has been functionalised with tpy metal-binding domains at both the N and C termini, and shown to form a cyclometallopeptide upon reaction with iron(II) salts.
