cis-2,4-Diamino-2,4-dichloro-1,3-bis(di-tert-butylmethylsilyl)-cyclodisilazane—synthesis and crystal structure

Abstract

The reaction between the cyclodisilazane [Cl2Si–NSiMe(CMe3)2]2 and NH3 afforded the first cis-2,4-diamino-2,4-dichloro-1,3-bis(di-tert-butylmethylsilyl)cyclodisilazane [Cl(H2N)Si–NSiMe(CMe3)2]21; the nitrogen of the NH2 group has a planar environment and the shortest Si–NH2 bond length found so far in an aminosilane (167.1 pm).
