Polynuclear bismuth selenolates: rings en route to clusters

Abstract

BiBr3 reacts with the silylated selenium reagent Se(Ph)SiMe3 in the presence of tertiary phosphines to yield polynuclear bismuth selenolate complexes that contain both terminal and bridging Se(Ph) ligands.
